To increase awareness and facilitate capacity building of high quality, innovative, informal STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs in out-of-school time (OST) settings throughout Pennsylvania.
STEM represents a broad category that includes critical activities and outcomes for OST staff and students. Quality STEM programming can enhance students’ academic achievement, skill development, career access and life-long STEM literacy.

OST programs are community based education programs for young people that occur after school, on weekends or in the summer.
All Pennsylvania children/youth will have access to high quality, innovative informal afterschool STEM activities and programs that develop inquiry and discovery to prepare them for college, work and life.
